福州大学简介
福州大学是国家“211工程”重点建设高校,福建省人民政府与国家教育部共建高校。创建于1958年,现已发展成为一所以工为主、理工结合,理、工、经、管、文、法、艺等多学科协调发展的重点大学。
学校拥有福州旗山、怡山、铜盘和厦门集美、鼓浪屿、泉州、晋江、泉港等多个校区,占地7000余亩。办学主体位于福州地区大学新区旗山校区,现有公共用房面积123万平方米,运动场地14余万平方米。固定资产总值33亿元,其中教学科研仪器设备值10亿元。图书馆藏书322万余册,电子图书227万册。信息化建设办公室的校中心机房是中国教育和科研计算机网福州主节点。
学校设有19个以全日制本科生和研究生培养为主的学院以及1个独立学院。现有国家重点学科1个、国家重点(培育)学科1个、省级优势学科创新平台5个、省级特色重点学科6个、省级重点学科26个;化学、工程学和材料科学3个学科进入国际ESI学科排名前1%。共有博士后流动站11个,一级学科博士点10个、二级学科博士点3个(不含一级学科覆盖),一级学科硕士点36个、二级学科硕士点7个(不含一级学科覆盖),专业学位授权点12个(其中工程硕士涵盖23个工程领域),本科专业78个。
学校现有教职工3170人,专任教师1996人。其中院士6人(含双聘院士5人),国际欧亚科学院院士1人,荷兰皇家科学院院士1人;全国杰出专业技术人才1人;国家“973计划”项目首席科学家1人;国家“千人计划”各类人选12人,国家“万人计划”各类人选4人,“长江学者奖励计划”特聘教授5人,国家级教学名师1人,国家杰出青年科学基金获得者8人,“百千万人才工程”国家级人选8人,国家有突出贡献中青年专家5人,国家优秀青年科学基金获得者2人,教育部“新世纪优秀人才支持计划”人选13人,享受国务院特殊津贴专家116人,博士生导师272人。1支团队入选“全国专业技术人才先进集体”,2支团队入选教育部“长江学者和创新团队发展计划”,2支团队入选科技部“创新人才推进计划”重点领域创新团队,学校入选国家“高校国际化示范学院推进计划”和“高等学校学科创新引智计划”(“111”计划)。
学校现有普通本一批学生24000余人,各类研究生10300余人(其中博士生670余人)。建校以来,已为国家培养了全日制博硕士研究生、本专科毕业生21万余人。学校拥有2个国家级人才培养基地、7个国家级实验教学示范中心、1个国家人才培养模式创新实验区、7个国家特色专业、3个国家级专业综合改革试点项目、6个校企合作的国家工程实践教育中心、1个国家教学团队、3门国家精品课、1门国家双语教学示范课程、3门国家级精品资源共享课、2门国家级精品视频公开课、4部国家级 “十二五”规划教材,10个省级研究生教育创新基地,11个省级专业学位研究生联合培养示范基地,是教育部“卓越工程师教育培养计划”改革试点高校及教育部“国家大学生创新创业训练计划”实施高校。“十二五”以来,学校有12个专业通过省教育厅认可的国际、国家级认证。学校获省级教学成果奖19项,本科生参加各类学科竞赛获127项国际奖,1340次国家级奖。毕业生就业率连续多年保持在95%以上,学校荣获“2014年度全国高校毕业生就业工作50强”,在第二届中国“互联网+”大学生创新创业全国总决赛中斩获2金并蝉联“先进集体奖”,入选“全国首批深化创新创业教育改革示范高校”。
学校现有1个国家级大学科技园, 11个国家级、75个省部级科技创新平台,其中:1个国家重点实验室,2个国家工程(技术)研究中心,3个国家国际科技合作基地,5个国家地方联合工程研究中心(工程实验室),3个教育部重点实验室,1个教育部工程研究中心。“十二五”以来,学校各类科研项目6252项,科研资助经费16.31亿元。获得省部级以上奖项132项,其中,国家科技三大奖3项,国家专利授权总量1902件。7046篇科技论文被三大检索收录。我校是福建省唯一一个拥有“国家大学科技园”和“国家技术转移示范机构”的高校,多次获得“全国技术市场金桥奖”“中国产学研合作促进奖”“中国产学研合作创新奖”“ 中国产学研合作创新成果奖“及“项目成果转化优秀组织奖”。
学校大力开展对外合作交流,与清华大学、北京大学、中国人民大学等知名高校、科研院所建立了良好的校际、校所协作关系,并与美、英、日、德、意、加、澳等国家和港澳台地区的140多所高校建立了校际合作关系。积极开展中外科教文化交流,是中国政府奖学金留学生接收院校,目前已面向近30个国家招收来华留学生,聘请了50余名海外专家学者长期在校任教,并建立了国内首个西方文献典籍中心—“西观藏书楼”。现有中外合作项目3个,各类学生长短期访学项目40多个,涵盖本科、硕士、博士等高等教育层次。对台交流向纵深发展,交流规模日益扩大,现为闽台合作办学国家改革试点重点项目单位。学校已成为福建省与国际及台、港、澳地区科教文化交流的一个重要窗口。

As one of the national key universities listed in “Project 211”, Fuzhou University was co-sponsored by the Fujian Government and the Ministry of Education of PRC. Founded in 1958, the university has now developed into a key comprehensive university, giving priority to engineering courses and also enjoying a reputation for excellence in fields including sciences, engineering, economics, management, liberal arts, law, arts and design, etc.
Fuzhou University now consists of several campuses including Qishan ,Yishan and Tongpan campuses in Fuzhou, Jimei and Gulangyu campuses in Xiamen, and Jinjiang and Quangang campuses in Quanzhou, covering an area of over 330 hectares. Qishan campus, the base for the university's academic activities, is located in the University Town in Fuzhou, with a total floor area of 1.23 million square meters and athletic space over 140,000 square meters. The University’s fixed assets totaled RMB 3.3 billion, of which 1 billion are research and instructional facilities. FZU Library collections contain 3.22 million volumes and 2.27 million e-books. The network center sponsored the University Information Technology Office functions as the main node of national educational and scientific computer network in Fuzhou.
Fuzhou University is comprised of 19 schools and colleges focusing on full-time undergraduate and graduate education, as well as 1 affiliated college. FZU now has 1 national key discipline, 1 national (nurturing) discipline , 5 provincial outstanding discipline innovation platforms, 6 provincial distinctive key disciplines, and 26 provincial key disciplines. It now has its disciplines of chemistry, engineering and materials science listed in the global top 1% on the Thomson Reuters’ Essential Science Indicators (ESI) ranking. It offers 11 post-doctoral research stations, 10 doctoral degree programs in first-level disciplines, 3 in second-level disciplines (not including first-level disciplines); 36 master’s degree programs in first-level disciplines, 7 in second-level disciplines (not including first-level disciplines); degree-awarding powers for 12 professional degrees (with Master of Engineering in 23 engineering branches); 78 undergraduate majors.
The University has 3,170 faculty and staff, of which 1,996 are full-time faculty, with 6 members of Chinese Academy of Sciences or Chinese Academy of Engineering (with 5 of them members of both institutes), one member of International Eurasian Academy of Sciences, one member of Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences, one nominated as National Outstanding Professional and Technical Personnel, a chief scientist in China's “Project 973”, 12 selected into the Recruitment Program of Global Experts, 4 selected into “10,000 Elites Program”, 5 selected as distinguished professors of the Cheung Kong Scholars Program, one recipient of the Distinguished Teaching Award for Higher Education, 8 recipients of the National Science Fund for Distinguished
Young Scholars, 8 selected into the Ten Thousand Talents Program, 5 listed in the National Young Experts with Outstanding Contributions, 2 recipients of the National Science Fund for Outstanding Young Scholars,13 selected into the Program for New Century Excellent Talents by Ministry of Education, 116 experts entitled to the State Council Special Allowance and 272 doctoral advisors. FZU also has one team listed in the National Special Talents Advanced Group, 2 teams selected into the Cheung Kong Scholars and Innovation Group Project” of MOE, 1 groups listed as a key subject innovation team of “Promotion Project for Innovation Talents” given by the ministry of Science and Technology. The University was listed in state “Higher Education International Demonstration Promotion Plan” and “High Education School Subject Innovative Talents Introduction Project” (“111” Plan).
Fuzhou University currently has more than 24,000 undergraduate students and over 10,300 post-graduate students. Since founded, more than 210,000 students have graduated from Fuzhou University, including full-time doctoral and master’s degree students as well as bachelor’s and associate’s degree students. There are now 2 National Talent Cultivation Bases, 7 National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Centers, 1 National Talent Cultivation Innovation Center, 7 national distinctive majors, 3 National Comprehensive Subject Reform Projects, 6 national college-enterprise cooperation engineering practice centers, 1 national-level teaching group, 3 national top-quality courses, 1 national bilingual demonstration courses, 3 national top-quality resource sharing courses, 2 national top-quality video public courses, 4 series of teaching materials for the national level “the Twelfth Five Year Plan”, 10 Provincial Postgraduate Education Innovation Bases, 11 provincial professional degree postgraduate joint cultivation demonstration bases. Fuzhou University is a reform pilot center of "Outstanding Engineer Cultivation Project”, and an implementation center of “National University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurial Training Project”. Since the “the Twelfth Five-Year Plan”, Fuzhou University has 12 majors obtained the international and national certification approved by Education Department. Fuzhou University has won 19 Provincial teaching achievement prizes. Undergraduates have won 127 International-level competition prizes, and 1340 national-level prizes. The employment rate of graduates from Fuzhou University has exceeded 95% for many consecutive years, putting the university into the top 50 universities in China by graduate employment rate as of 2014. It has won 2 gold prizes 2 bronze prizes and continued to hold a post of "Advanced Group Award” in the 2nd China "Internet Plus" College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Finals, and was listed in "the first batch of demonstration school deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform”.
Fuzhou University has a national-level university science park and 11 national level and 74 provincial level science and technology innovation platforms, among which are one National Key Laboratory, 7 National Engineering (Technology) Research Centers, 3 National-level International Scientific Cooperation Bases, 5 National and Local Collaborative Engineering Research Centers (engineering laboratories), 3 MOE Key Laboratories, and 1 MOE Engineering Research Center. Since "the Twelfth Five-Year Plan", Fuzhou University has been granted for 6,252 technological projects and scientific research funds, amounting to RMB 1.631 billion. It has over 2,000 foreign technological cooperative contracts and the horizontal cooperation fund is over 655 million. It has won 132 provincial or higher level achievements, of which 3 have been in national major award categories for science and technology, and registered 1,902 nationally authorized patents. 7,046 science and technological articles are included in SCI, El, and ISTP journals. It is also the only university in Fujian Province that has a “National University Science Park” and a “National Technology Transfer Model Institution". The university has won many prizes including the “National Technology Market Golden Bridge Award”, "National Production-Study-Research Promotion Award" and the "National Production-Study-Research Innovation Award" as well as the "National Production-Study-Research Innovation Achievement Award” and the “Excellent Project Achievement Award”.
Fuzhou University has taken great efforts to develop cooperation and exchange, and has established collaborative relationships with renowned universities and institutes such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, and People’s University of China, as well as over 140 universities and colleges in the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Germany, Italy, Canada, Australia as well as Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Being active in developing Chinese and foreign scientific, educational, and cultural exchange, Fuzhou University is a recipient university of the Chinese Government Scholarship for international students, and now has opened for admissions of international students from more than 30 countries. The university has recruited more than 50 foreign experts for long-term teaching, and has established the first center for Western works in China, “the Library of the Western Belvedere”. It now has 3 Chinese-foreign cooperation programs, over 40 various long-term and short-term visiting programs covering Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctor’s degree. Collaboration with institutions of Taiwan has been developed in depth and with growing scale. The university is now the key project university for Fujian-Taiwan cooperation education under national reform. Fuzhou University has become an important window for scientific, academic, educational and cultural exchanges for Fujian Province and Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao.
With the principle of developing a regionally distinctive and entrepreneurial university, Fuzhou University is striding towards the goal of building a competitive university in Southeastern China with advantageous majors, research-oriented features, and an overall liberal approach to education. It is determined to make greater contributions to the country and to the west coast of the Taiwan Strait Economic Zone.
